My Story

Love, Food, and Life

At the age of 26, I got married to an Indian man living in Florida and moved with him to this country. Being born and raised in India, I missed my home and “food” severely, but my husband’s unconditional “love” taught me how to connect the missing pieces to have a happy “life.”

Yes, you got that right. This is a story about Love, Food, and Life!

The Journey

It started with a “girl” who became a loving wife and a mother of two precious gems. Everything seemed to happen in a flash of time.

Moving away from home is always a challenging experience. Learning to care for yourself can be difficult with a New Country, New Name, New Role, and New Responsibilities. So that’s when the New journey began, bringing a whole new concept into our lives, which I am now thrilled to share with my neighbors and community.

Back in India, when we were growing up, nuts played a vital role in our healthy lifestyle. Belonging to a middle-class family, eating almonds was a luxury we could not afford daily, so we ate them during festivals and special occasions as a treat. Since India is a land of festivals, these treats were quite common, but they were still not a part of our daily diet. Being an excellent source of many vitamins and minerals, Almonds are as close to perfect as a food can get. Whether it is managing blood pressure levels, lowering bad cholesterol & increasing good cholesterol, improving blood sugar control, improving gut health, or increasing bone strength, Almonds can protect you and keep you healthy in every possible way.

Boost Brain Development:

Almonds are known to improve brain function and development in children due to their high vitamin E content and other antioxidants. They are packed with protein, healthy fats, fiber, vitamins, and minerals such as calcium, iron, and zinc. Protein is the second largest matter in the brain, second only to water, so nourishing your brain with protein-rich foods is essential.

Most importantly, it helps maintain a healthy weight, a universal agenda for most individuals.

When I immigrated here, I found almonds relatively inexpensive but not regularly utilized in the standard American diet. Back in my childhood in India, we used to consider Almonds as a “Royal Food”, not just because of their cost but also because of the number of excellent qualities they acquired. Adding Saffron to almonds gives the food another level of richness. It is often called “red gold” for good reason—it’s the world’s most expensive spice. Today, Saffron still holds a high value as both a spice used for cooking and an alternative treatment for various health conditions. When we consume these healthy ingredients in our daily routine, achieving and maintaining a goal of good health becomes smooth process.
